After 8 played minutes, Laginha's Wilson Medeiros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorginho Madureira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Laginha reached it. A collision led to Manchester United F.C getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Flavinho Sergipano hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Laginha's Wilson Medeiros tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dário Silva might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorginho Madureira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dário Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. Andrézinho Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorginho Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrézinho Costa in the 17th minute of the match. If Dário Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Andrézinho Costa put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jorginho Madureira. Andrézinho Costa struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Jorginho Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laginha. Laginha's Andrézinho Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sydney Moreno made a kick off. If Andrézinho Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The audience was convinced that Andrézinho Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorginho Madureira was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Jorginho Madureira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrézinho Costa's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. With a little luck, Manchester United F.C's Jorginho Madureira got control of the ball when Dário Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dário Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manchester United F.C's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Andrézinho Costa 95 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Laginha's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
