Samuca Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Hermes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Adilson Penha made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Paranaense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Nuno Sampaio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Samuca Severo. Nuno Sampaio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Vicente Trigo's late challenge caught a Cavunge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicente Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. Vicente Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Cavunge's Fernão Alves broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 63rd match minute, Cavunge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernão Alves to maneuver through the defense. When Cavunge's Diego Hermes in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Cavunge fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Cavunge's Diego Hermes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Celsinho Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Quajara's João Paulo Valadares got a free kick in the 90th minute. Cavunge's Samuca Severo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Sampaio in the 93rd minute of play.
