Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Agustin Ascencio started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Atlético MG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Fabinho Jacinto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Genílson de Queiroz came out and tried to block the shot, but Fabinho Jacinto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Ronaldão Pimenta notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Real Bart's Genílson de Queiroz. Genílson de Queiroz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Genílson de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilian Teles in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Real Bart's goal looked a bit too open when Wilian Teles came free, but Genílson de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genílson de Queiroz came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético MG's Wilian Teles. But to his dismay, Wilian Teles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Ronaldão Pimenta's late challenge caught a Real Bart's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronaldão Pimenta helped the player get up and apologised. Genílson de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabinho Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Agustin Ascencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-2.

When Agustin Ascencio came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Real Bart fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustin Ascencio couldn't finish the play. After 56 played minutes Atlético MG got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Jacinto. Genílson de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Agustin Ascencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Ricardo de Carvalho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edvaldo Borges. The goal made the score 5-3. In the 73rd minute, Atlético MG's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ricardo de Carvalho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Atlético MG getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Wilian Teles hit a great ball. Genílson de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabinho Jacinto in the 86th minute of play. It was beautiful to see Atlético MG's Wilian Teles in action when he in the 88th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Atlético MG's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
