Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bifurcacao's Narciso Secco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Vazlandia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antônio Carlos Dantas should have stopped the shot. Maurício Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Bifurcacao's Maurício Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Vazlandia's zone, Ramiz Ceberut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Carlos Dantas came out of the goal and Ramiz Ceberut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Vítor Duarte was the one to do the kick off. Antônio Carlos Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Carlos da Silveira in the 52nd minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiz Ceberut couldn't finish the play. Telmo Prata succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 72nd playminute.
