Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Emílio França made the kick off and thus started the match. Raúl Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton do Valle in the 6th minute of the match. Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raúl Baiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Só Capim Canela's goal looked a bit too open when Aílton do Valle came free, but Raúl Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Emílio França notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Patente's Ronaldinho Botelho. Ronaldinho Botelho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th match minute, Patente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael Couto to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Só Capim Canela's Tostão Paraibano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Só Capim Canela booed when Patente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natanael Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Patente's Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raúl Baiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Aílton do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patente's supporters rose to their feet, but Aílton do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raúl Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raúl Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Raúl Baiano came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Patente's Aílton do Valle. But to his dismay, Aílton do Valle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro made the kick off in the second half. When Aílton do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Patente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aílton do Valle couldn't finish the play. Aílton do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Baiano having to interfere. Patente's Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro managed to work through Só Capim Canela's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Aílton do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Patente's Luís Gustavo Braga got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute of the match, Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Raúl Baiano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ronaldinho Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio França in the 78th minute of play. Só Capim Canela's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Só Capim Canela's Emílio França got a free kick in the 95th minute. Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Patente could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Só Capim Canela throughout the match.
