Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Durval Godoi made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Ernesto Dante notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC Cartelianos's Vitório Hermes. Vitório Hermes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 8 minutes into the game, Valdo Paes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Cartelianos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aguado the free kick. Valdo Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Cartelianos's Cristóvão Penha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos de Senna. That made the score 1-1 after 14 minutes of play. If Cristóvão Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the SC Cartelianos defense, Ernesto Dante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vitório Hermes. The SC Cartelianos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vitório Hermes should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Aguado's Edson Tinoco got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 31st match minute, Aguado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. Cristóvão Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 played minutes SC Cartelianos got a freekick which was hit by Valdo Paes. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Dante made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Eliseu de Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cartelianos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu de Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edson Tinoco charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edson Tinoco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Cartelianos booed when Aguado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Aguado's zone, Eliseu de Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos de Senna came out of the goal and Eliseu de Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Cristóvão Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernesto Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcos de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Penha in the 71st minute of the match. Cristóvão Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Aguado's Geovani Tavares got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Cristóvão Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Cristóvão Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Durval Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cartelianos's supporters rose to their feet, but Durval Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristóvão Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valdemar Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. SC Cartelianos's Breno Fantini got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aguado succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though SC Cartelianos had controlled the match.
