The referee showed Deivid Novaes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tucano SC booed when Arejas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kaká Branco took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldinho Toscano. Osvaldinho Toscano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Tucano SC's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Toscano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Osvaldinho Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Mattos in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to Arejas FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Deivid Novaes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played.
