Spectators: 6667 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valdir Gaspar started the match with the kick off. Luiz Paulo Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoforos Vallas in the 4th minute of play. If Christoforos Vallas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Paulo Baptista having to interfere. Christoforos Vallas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Christoforos Vallas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Paulo Baptista was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 23 played minutes Valdir Gaspar rounded Araucária F.C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. The Araucária F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Araucária F.C.'s Christoforos Vallas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nelsinho Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdir Gaspar in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Valdir Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Valdir Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Araucária F.C.'s Marcinho Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 39 minutes, Marcinho Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Araucária F.C. and the Seco players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Deivid Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Araucária F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Deivid Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Paulo Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the game, Manoel Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Araucária F.C. the free kick. In the 47th minute, Manoel Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christoforos Vallas made a kick off. Araucária F.C.'s Christoforos Vallas got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júlio Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Luiz Paulo Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Seco getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Carlos Fernando Veiga hit a great ball. Seco's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Christoforos Vallas 57 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Júlio Cunha struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Luiz Paulo Baptista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araucária F.C.. When Araucária F.C.'s Christoforos Vallas in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Seco's goalie prevented a goal. Seco's Luiz Paulo Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christoforos Vallas in the 65th minute of play. If Deivid Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oswaldo Mumbach during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Araucária F.C.'s Oswaldo Mumbach got a free kick in the 68th minute. Seco's Luiz Paulo Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Seco from getting a goal against them. If Júlio Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Luiz Paulo Baptista successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christoforos Vallas in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Paulo Baptista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute, Júlio Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christoforos Vallas in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Paulo Baptista saved Seco from getting behind. Júlio Cunha struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Luiz Paulo Baptista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araucária F.C.. In the 88th minute, Christoforos Vallas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luiz Paulo Baptista. The goal made the score 1-4. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Deivid Neiva got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Araucária F.C.'s Christoforos Vallas in the 96th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Luiz Paulo Baptista was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Seco through an amazing save. Araucária F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
