Vilmos Bodonyi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 29 minutes into the game, Samuel Lima cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Raí Furlan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thiago Catarinense charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thiago Catarinense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Requeijao AD getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Thiago Catarinense hit a great ball. After 39 played minutes Requeijao AD got a freekick which was hit by Thiago Catarinense. Minnesotta Timberwolves's Natanael de Almeida couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Requeijao AD. Osvaldinho Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Vilmos Bodonyi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Requeijao AD's Osvaldinho Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Requeijao AD's Haroldo Dias got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angelo Mesquita to strike the kick off in the second half. Minnesotta Timberwolves's Vilmos Bodonyi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Mesquita in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Requeijao AD's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Lima came free, but Raí Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Michel de Godoi in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Minnesotta Timberwolves's Tiago Monteiro. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Requeijao AD reached it. Samuel Lima struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Raí Furlan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Minnesotta Timberwolves. 67 minutes into the match, José Carlos Velloso notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Requeijao AD's Raí Furlan. Raí Furlan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th match minute, Minnesotta Timberwolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavinho Velloso to maneuver through the defense. Requeijao AD's Elivélton Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Requeijao AD's Thiago Catarinense got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Thiago Catarinense off the ground. When Samuel Lima came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Minnesotta Timberwolves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Lima couldn't finish the play. Minnesotta Timberwolves's Vilmos Bodonyi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Gomes in the 82nd minute of play.
