Rubinho Zanette came out of the goal and Ernesto de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vitório Gonçalves hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Jonas Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho Zanette having to interfere. If Ernesto de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Serio EC's Douglas Xavier got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 44th match minute, Serio EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romário Castro to maneuver through the defense. Geovanni Galvão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Rubinho Zanette made a huge save. Sebastian Björk's late challenge caught a Serio EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. A very good chance. After having played for 92 minutes, Jonas Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carambehy AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Maciel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rubinho Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu Dantas in the 94th minute of play. Ernesto de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
