Marcel Nunes thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Rômulo Paes, a very annoying self made goal in the 53rd minute which led to 2-3. In the 63rd minute Adrianinho Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rômulo Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rômulo Paes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedê Bastos in the 67th minute of the match. When Haroldo Queirós was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played.
