In the 30th minute, Felipe Pinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rômulo Paes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After 34 minutes of play, SC Chape Gole's Dino Moura made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcel da Silveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute, Zé Paulo Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rômulo Paes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Vasconcelos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Chape Gole's goalkeeper Rômulo Paes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rômulo Paes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henrique Vasconcelos went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Vasconcelos in the 46th minute of play forced SC Chape Gole's goalkeeper Rômulo Paes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Henrique Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henrique Vasconcelos made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, SC Chape Gole was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Nunes to maneuver through the defense. Tony Vasconcelos might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rômulo Paes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tony Vasconcelos ran back to his position shaking his head. Rômulo Paes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Pinho in the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, Marcel Nunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Chape Gole's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Surubabel the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of SC Chape Gole:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Surubabel:s goal. Rômulo Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo de Lara in the 63rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dino Moura during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Surubabel booed when SC Chape Gole was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Surubabel's Charles da Fonseca was substituted for Levent Staroselski. Dino Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th match minute, SC Chape Gole was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaltino Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. Rômulo Paes made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Henrique Vasconcelos sent off a good shot on target. With splendid footwork Henrique Vasconcelos arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-8 by the left pole in the game's 83rd minute. In the 86th minute Tony Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rômulo Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 97th minute by Henrique Vasconcelos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the match was over Surubabel could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SC Chape Gole throughout the match.
