César Aguiar might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernandão Mendes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. César Aguiar ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 10th match minute, Tomasio SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre de Brito to maneuver through the defense. Márcio Gerber struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Fernandão Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Futurama Futebol Clube. Márcio Gerber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernandão Mendes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. César Aguiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernandão Mendes having to make a save. Futurama Futebol Clube's César Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernandão Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Aguiar in the 18th minute of the match. Dário Guerra hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 33 minutes in the game, César Aguiar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fernandão Mendes having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tomasio SS's zone, Márcio Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandão Mendes came out of the goal and Márcio Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Futurama Futebol Clube's Júlio Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paulo Sousa in the 41st minute of play. The referee gave Tomasio SS a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bernardo Maia, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Futurama Futebol Clube's Júlio Souza. 1-1.

53 minutes into the match, Márcio Gerber notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Tomasio SS's Fernandão Mendes. Fernandão Mendes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Futurama Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Futurama Futebol Clube's César Aguiar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 72 played minutes Tomasio SS got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Guimarães. Sérgio Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitinho Correia during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
