Spectators: 7284 (Terracing: 5465, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 144) Penna's Roberto Dinamite started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Durval Fernandez fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Penna's protests and gave Durval Fernandez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd minute, Durval Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Penna's Roberto Dinamite in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Apeu's goalie prevented a goal. With his leg Claudinho Mandrak managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Penna's Roberto Dinamite fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Ivo Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apeu's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivo Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valério Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Dinamite in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinho Mandrak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Penna's Valério Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Esteves in the 20th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Ivo Esteves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valério Leão. Penna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivo Esteves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Roberto Dinamite's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Claudinho Mandrak skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 29th minute, Arnaldo Loureiro made a precise shot to the right of Valério Leão. Penna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Roberto Dinamite scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudinho Mandrak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valério Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Loureiro in the 37th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnaldo Loureiro made a kick off. Claudinho Mandrak came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Penna's Carel Van den Haute. But to his dismay, Carel Van den Haute quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. When Arnaldo Loureiro came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Apeu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Loureiro couldn't finish the play. Apeu's Claudinho Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Dinamite in the 59th minute of play. André Balada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Claudinho Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Zeca Pinho fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Apeu's protests and gave Zeca Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th match minute, Apeu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeca Pinho to maneuver through the defense. After 75 minutes, Roberto Dinamite made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Apeu's Claudinho Mandrak tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute, Pedro Paulo Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Balada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Penna defense, Ivo Esteves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valério Leão. The Penna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valério Leão should have stopped the shot. Ivo Esteves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Valério Leão made a huge save. 91 minutes into the match, Penna's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Loureiro came free, but Valério Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When André Balada came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Penna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Balada couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Penna players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
