After a defensive mix-up in Datas's zone, Flavinho das Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo José Ferraz came out of the goal and Flavinho das Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ararai's Ezequiel Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Datas getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Kauan Tasso hit a great ball. Flavinho das Neves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Paulo José Ferraz made a huge save. 2-0 became the score in the 31st minute when Flavinho das Neves elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ezequiel Lima struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Paulo José Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ararai. When Ezequiel Lima came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Ararai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Lima couldn't finish the play. Alex Toscano was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ararai walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
