Borborema SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Filadeli the free kick. Luciano Travassos hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Filadeli's Diamantino Barreto got a free kick in the 7th minute. Ramón Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Gaúcho in the 9th minute of the match. Filadeli's Gil Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Filadeli from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute, Cauan de Lara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Borborema SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 18 minutes of play, Filadeli's Lúcio Montenegro made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramón Esteves was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, João Francisco Fontes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gil Senna. Filadeli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Francisco Fontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 28th minute, Fernandinho Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Filadeli's Gil Senna got control of the ball when João Francisco Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dráuzio Zilles kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Gil Senna came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Borborema SS's João Francisco Fontes. But to his dismay, João Francisco Fontes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Ramón Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Montenegro in the 38th minute of play. Luciano Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráuzio Zilles in the 43rd minute of play forced Borborema SS's goalkeeper Ramón Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, João Francisco Fontes made a precise shot to the right of Gil Senna. Filadeli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.

Filadeli made a substitution. Ademir Guia replaced Dráuzio Zilles. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ademir Guia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Borborema SS's goalkeeper Ramón Esteves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ademir Guia. Gil Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Francisco Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lúcio Montenegro succeeded in the game's 57th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-3. Gil Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauan de Lara in the 63rd minute of play. Gil Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Francisco Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lúcio Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ramón Esteves came out and tried to block the shot, but Lúcio Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 4-4 in the 65th minute. Gil Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fiori Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Fernandinho Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Filadeli's zone, João Francisco Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Senna came out of the goal and João Francisco Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the game, Borborema SS's Cauan de Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil Senna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-4. 77 minutes into the match, Filadeli's goal looked a bit too open when Cauan de Lara came free, but Gil Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lúcio Montenegro's late challenge caught a Borborema SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lúcio Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. Borborema SS's Ramón Esteves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Borborema SS from getting a goal against them. Borborema SS's Ramón Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Montenegro in the 81st minute of play. Gil Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Francisco Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Ademir Guia made a precise shot to the right of Ramón Esteves. Borborema SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-6. After 91 played minutes Borborema SS got a freekick which was hit by Cauan de Lara. In the 94th minute Lúcio Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramón Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Filadeli players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
