Maicon Ceresso made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Lúcio Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. If Dráuzio Zilles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 2-0 became the score in the 19th minute when Lúcio Montenegro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Lúcio Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Filadeli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Montenegro couldn't finish the play. After 26 played minutes Filadeli got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Gaúcho. After a rather tough play, Filadeli's Chico Saldanha got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Dráuzio Zilles might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maicon Ceresso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dráuzio Zilles ran back to his position shaking his head. Dráuzio Zilles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Lúcio Montenegro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maicon Ceresso. That made the score 3-0 in the 39 minute of play. After 46 played minutes Minaçu Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Dedé Dionísio. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Pedro Fernandez was the one to do the kick off. Mauro Verdaguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Maicon Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pedro Cordeiro fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minaçu Futebol Clube's protests and gave Pedro Cordeiro a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Minaçu Futebol Clube:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Filadeli:s goal. Maicon Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Verdaguer in the 65th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, one of Minaçu Futebol Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Filadeli's Mauro Verdaguer in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mauro Verdaguer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maicon Ceresso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
