The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Abel Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcinho Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcinho Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Atlético Campoverdense's goal looked a bit too open when Marcinho Almeida came free, but Jorge Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Wanderson Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Silva came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Ousados TX's Abel Duarte. But to his dismay, Abel Duarte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 34th minute Abel Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 played minutes Atlético Campoverdense got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Alcântara. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Campoverdense's zone, Abel Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Silva came out of the goal and Abel Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wanderson Azevedo to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Benjamin Linhares put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fernandão Lago. In the 59th match minute, Ousados TX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nildo de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Ousados TX's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Azevedo came free, but Fernandão Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wanderson Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nildo de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Benjamin Linhares struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Fernandão Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Campoverdense. Atlético Campoverdense's Jorge Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho Almeida in the 68th minute of play. Marcinho Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Danilo Aguiar was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the game, one of Atlético Campoverdense:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 76 minutes, Ousados TX's Mané Rocha got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jorge Silva. The supporters of Ousados TX booed when Atlético Campoverdense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Jorge Silva made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Wanderson Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernandão Lago was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. After having played for 97 minutes, Wanderson Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Campoverdense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wanderson Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
