BOTAFOGO's Valdo Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Pimenta in the 3rd minute of play. Valdo Prestes had great luck who in the 5thth minute grab hold of the ball when Virgílio Pimenta from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evert Gustavsson in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdo Prestes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 10 minutes into the match, Tuyuty's goal looked a bit too open when Geovânio Fernandes came free, but Enéas Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Pedro Moreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tuyuty's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BOTAFOGO the free kick. Alfredinho Miranda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Valdo Prestes made a huge save. Valdo Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Alfredinho Miranda reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Valdo Prestes. The goal made the score 1-0. Vitinho Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Geovânio Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BOTAFOGO's Valdo Prestes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save BOTAFOGO from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgílio Pimenta got free with Valdo Prestes in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 36 minutes, Alfredinho Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuyuty's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredinho Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Tuyuty's Virgílio Pimenta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valdo Prestes. That made the score 3-0 after 38 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeferson Marinho in the 42nd minute of play forced Tuyuty's goalkeeper Enéas Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitinho Rocha hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Virgílio Pimenta was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Geovânio Fernandes notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Tuyuty's Enéas Magalhães. Enéas Magalhães was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 60 minutes, Virgílio Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuyuty's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgílio Pimenta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, Virgílio Pimenta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdo Prestes was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeferson Marinho got free with Enéas Magalhães in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valdo Prestes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enzo Adriano went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. The Tuyuty fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Tuyuty's Virgílio Pimenta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Valdo Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Gustavsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The audience was convinced that Virgílio Pimenta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdo Prestes was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. After 89 minutes of play, Tuyuty's Alfredinho Miranda made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdo Prestes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jeferson Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Magalhães having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tuyuty fully deserved thier win.
