Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Acácio Fernandez started the match with the kick off. Marquinhos Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Sabino Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregorio AD's Isaltino de Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marquinhos Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Sabino Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ambicao EC booed when Gregorio AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Gerson Eger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sydney Hermes's late challenge caught a Gregorio AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sydney Hermes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, one of Ambicao EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ambicao EC. Isaltino de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simão Matorin came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gregorio AD's Isaltino de Castro. But to his dismay, Isaltino de Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Ambicao EC's Duda Romero got a free kick in the 35th minute. Gerson Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerson Eger made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Ambicao EC's Gerson Eger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sabino Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Lúcio Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Simão Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Acácio Fernandez notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Ambicao EC's Simão Matorin. Simão Matorin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Lúcio Alves came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Gregorio AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Alves couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute Marquinhos Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabino Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerson Vidal hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. A collision led to Gregorio AD getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Agostinho Tande hit a great ball. Marquinhos Tepedino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sabino Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerson Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lúcio Alves came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Gregorio AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Alves couldn't finish the play. After 91 minutes, Gerson Eger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ambicao EC and the Gregorio AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute, Gerson Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ambicao EC's Simão Matorin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Fernandez in the 93rd minute of play. If Lúcio Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregorio AD's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
