Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Valdo Nunes got the match started through his kick off. Walmir Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Tomé Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdo Nunes took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cacá Dracena. Cacá Dracena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Cacá Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Aguapaba's Cacá Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Nunes in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Simão Siqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Betão Messias, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Valdo Nunes took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cacá Dracena. Cacá Dracena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Cacá Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Aguapaba's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Nunes came free, but Cacá Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdo Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Dracena having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Itaperuna FC's Valdo Nunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cacá Dracena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomás Alvarenga to make the kick off. When Washington Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aguapaba's protests and gave Washington Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. Washington Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Betão Messias sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cacá Dracena skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antônio Carlos Ferraz got free with Cacá Dracena in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valdo Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Dracena having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Aguapaba got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Alvarenga. The supporters of Itaperuna FC booed when Aguapaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aguapaba's Cacá Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Aguapaba from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the game, Walmir Pinheiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
