Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Osvaldinho Garcia started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Pongai's zone, Ian Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubinho Vidal came out of the goal and Ian Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugo Neves took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubinho Vidal. Rubinho Vidal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vedran Vrečko made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Oscar Passos sent off a good shot on target. Serginho da Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 21st minute of the match, Osvaldinho Garcia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vedran Vrečko saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 24 minutes into the match, Warriors's Hugo Neves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rubinho Vidal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Pongai defense, Romário Papa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubinho Vidal. The Pongai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubinho Vidal should have stopped the shot. In the 28th minute, Ian Batista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Severino Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pongai's protests and gave Severino Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Hugo Neves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Warriors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 43 minutes into the match, Ronaldinho Trigo notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Pongai's Rubinho Vidal. Rubinho Vidal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ian Batista to strike the kick off in the second half. Rubinho Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Trigo in the 52nd minute of play. Pongai's Rubinho Vidal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Pongai from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Pongai's Renato Monteiro got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute, Tarcisio Pinheiro had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Warriors made a substitution. Percival Tinoco replaced Tarcisio Pinheiro. After 58 played minutes Pongai got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Passos. Ian Batista did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Rubinho Vidal 61 minutes into the match. After 65 minutes, Gil Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pongai and the Warriors players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pongai's Gil Castro got a free kick in the 65th minute. Renato Monteiro hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Hugo Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Romário Papa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th match minute, Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Neves to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldinho Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Rubinho Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Pongai's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Batista came free, but Rubinho Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pongai's Severino Ramos got a free kick in the 86th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Pongai's goal looked a bit too open when Romário Papa came free, but Rubinho Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Warriors left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pongai.
