Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dida Loyola kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, João Augusto Messias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedrão Neiva charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedrão Neiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Catetu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão Neiva to maneuver through the defense. João Augusto Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Cardozo having to interfere. After 7 minutes, Rodriguinho Velasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aracoiaba and the Catetu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ramiro Matorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão Neiva in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Pedrão Neiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramiro Matorin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Pedrão Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ramiro Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dida Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Catetu's goalkeeper Valério Cardozo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frederico Massa. Frederico Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Cardozo having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Aracoiaba got a freekick which was hit by João Augusto Messias. 32 minutes into the match, Catetu's Naldo Abraão broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Catetu fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Catetu's Pedrão Neiva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Júlio Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catetu's protests and gave Júlio Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Catetu's Júlio Almeida got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Raphael Pena made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Gilmar de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dida Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 54 played minutes Aracoiaba got a freekick which was hit by João Augusto Messias. Pedrão Neiva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Ramiro Matorin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pedrão Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Pena in the 66th minute of play forced Catetu's goalkeeper Valério Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frederico Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Cardozo having to interfere. If Frederico Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dida Loyola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramiro Matorin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Raphael Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aracoiaba's supporters rose to their feet, but Raphael Pena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valério Cardozo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodriguinho Velasco got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 96th match minute, Aracoiaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodriguinho Velasco to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Catetu walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
