Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Tambaqui EC's Carlos Augusto Macedo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carlos Augusto Macedo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 3rd minute. Tambaqui EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience was convinced that Carlos Augusto Macedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Gaúcho was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 6th minute, Tambaqui EC's Carlos Augusto Macedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Donato Gaúcho. Donato Gaúcho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 13th minute, Carlos Augusto Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cotias's Gilvan Mineiro got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 17th match minute, Cotias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Cotias's Donato Gaúcho got control of the ball when Bruno Freitas tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Cotias getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gilvan Mineiro hit a great ball. Bruno Freitas struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Donato Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tambaqui EC. Donato Gaúcho was a little too slow when Carlos Augusto Macedo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 2-0. Carlos Augusto Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute Carlos Augusto Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Augusto Macedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donato Gaúcho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Augusto Macedo ran back to his position shaking his head. Willian Pimenta's late challenge caught a Tambaqui EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Willian Pimenta helped the player get up and apologised. Willian Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Cafu Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gugu Rosado kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Bruno Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tambaqui EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donato Gaúcho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Freitas in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cafu Seco to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cotias's Michel Veloso got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute Gugu Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diamantino Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tambaqui EC's Carlos Augusto Macedo got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donato Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Cotias's Donato Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Freitas in the 67th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Cotias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilvan Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. Donato Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Augusto Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Bruno Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tambaqui EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th match minute, Cotias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. If Carlos Augusto Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Carlos Augusto Macedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tambaqui EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. A collision led to Cotias getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Cláudio de Queirós hit a great ball. If Bruno Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tambaqui EC fully deserved thier win.
