An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Vidal in the 6th minute of play forced Nina FC's goalkeeper Afonsinho Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Luziania's goalkeeper João Mello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eurico Carioca. The audience was convinced that Douglas Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afonsinho Magalhães was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Afonsinho Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 20 played minutes Luziania got a freekick which was hit by Mathias das Neves. Afonsinho Magalhães came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Luziania's Douglas Almeida. But to his dismay, Douglas Almeida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Luziania's zone, Eurico Carioca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Mello came out of the goal and Eurico Carioca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rony Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Urbano in the 35th minute of play forced Luziania's goalkeeper João Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th match minute, Nina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Maria de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Zé Vidal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonsinho Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Luziania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Reis to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas Almeida to strike the kick off in the second half. The Luziania fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Luziania's Zé Vidal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Afonsinho Magalhães made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Zé Vidal sent off a good shot on target. Zé Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Magalhães having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Nina FC's goalkeeper Afonsinho Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Vidal. Nina FC's Rony Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Nina FC's Afonsinho Magalhães got control of the ball when Zé Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 70 played minutes Nina FC got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Gonçalves. The supporters of Nina FC booed when Luziania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico Carioca in the 83rd minute of play forced Luziania's goalkeeper João Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonsinho Magalhães was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Douglas Almeida showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 85 minute of play. Zé Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Magalhães having to interfere. Afonsinho Magalhães was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Douglas Almeida capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Douglas Almeida really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Nina FC's Afonsinho Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Almeida in the 97th minute of play. The Luziania players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
