The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jacareacanga AD's Manfredo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Queirós in the 3rd minute of play. Manfredo Salgado made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Dagoberto Massa sent off a good shot on target. When Adrianinho Batista fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jacareacanga AD's protests and gave Adrianinho Batista a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th match minute, Jacareacanga AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Batista to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Dagoberto Massa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juvenal Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Manfredo Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 33 minutes, Juvenal Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pindoba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juvenal Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dagoberto Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dagoberto Massa struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Manfredo Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pindoba. The supporters of Pindoba booed when Jacareacanga AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrianinho Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juvenal Queirós in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manfredo Salgado saved Jacareacanga AD from getting behind. Manfredo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manfredo Salgado came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Pindoba's Dagoberto Massa. But to his dismay, Dagoberto Massa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Juvenal Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Massa in the 85th minute of play forced Jacareacanga AD's goalkeeper Manfredo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manfredo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 played minutes Pindoba got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Peixoto. The corner ended in César Sarmento almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pindoba's Josué da Silva did a great save. Josué da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlindo Romero in the 96th minute of the match.
