Spectators: 6664 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Virgílio Paraíba started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Cido Cearense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Firminopolis and the Urucum players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cido Cearense hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Aleandro Koehler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio de Andrade in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Firminopolis's Tomás da Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aleandro Koehler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás da Rocha in the 21st minute of play forced Urucum's goalkeeper Aleandro Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Virgílio Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgílio Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Ceresso having to interfere. Tomás da Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Virgílio Paraíba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th match minute, Firminopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido Cearense to maneuver through the defense. After 42 played minutes Firminopolis got a freekick which was hit by Tomás da Rocha. If Emílio de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

Evaristo Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Aleandro Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cássio de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Firminopolis's Tomás da Rocha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. A hard shot 62 in the game by Emílio de Andrade from a close distance when the talented Aleandro Koehler managed to make a qualified save. Urucum's players were relieved. Tomás da Rocha did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Aleandro Koehler 63 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Tomás da Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aleandro Koehler was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Urucum's zone, Tomás da Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleandro Koehler came out of the goal and Tomás da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Urucum's Benê Dracena got a free kick in the 70th minute. Aleandro Koehler didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 82nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. In the 86th minute, Evaristo Madureira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, Urucum's goalkeeper Aleandro Koehler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emílio de Andrade. Ronaldo Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Firminopolis supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Firminopolis would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
