With his leg Váldson Prata managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when MARAJA's Luís Fábio Moraes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Albertina getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Vítor Barros hit a great ball. If Lauro Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 11th play minutes Luís Fábio Moraes shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Váldson Prata and just under the crossbar into goal. 17 minutes into the match, Albertina's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Moraes came free, but Váldson Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Albertina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Marques to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Ramalho in the 23rd minute of play forced Albertina's goalkeeper Váldson Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís Vasconcelos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Váldson Prata. Váldson Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Geovânio Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Fábio Moraes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Váldson Prata when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luís Fábio Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Váldson Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fábio Moraes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Váldson Prata when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luís Fábio Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Váldson Prata having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enio Rodrigues to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Marcel Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 57 played minutes, Albertina's Conrado Oliveira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juninho Alvarenga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Albertina reached it. After some careless play in the Albertina defense, Luís Fábio Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Váldson Prata. The Albertina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Váldson Prata should have stopped the shot. Juninho Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enio Rodrigues in the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Albertina getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Celso Almeida hit a great ball. MARAJA's Délio Sampaio was substituted for Luís Fábio Moraes. Rafinha Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Délio Sampaio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Váldson Prata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. When Lauro Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the MARAJA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Ramalho couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Délio Sampaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Váldson Prata was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. MARAJA's Geovânio Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Váldson Prata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Délio Sampaio's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. After some careless play in the Albertina defense, Délio Sampaio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Váldson Prata. The Albertina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Váldson Prata should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. MARAJA fully deserved thier win.
