The supporters of Milhans booed when Serra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reinaldo Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olívio Travassos in the 5th minute of play. Reinaldo Neiva made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Geovanni Rossi sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Geovanni Rossi could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Reinaldo Neiva however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Milhans's Geovanni Rossi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reinaldo Neiva. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. Zé Passos's late challenge caught a Milhans's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Passos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Zé Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serra FC's Reinaldo Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olívio Travassos in the 17th minute of play. Reinaldo Neiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geovanni Rossi in the 19th minute. Olívio Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Reinaldo Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reinaldo Neiva came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Milhans's Caco Bastos. But to his dismay, Caco Bastos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Tostão Alcântara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Reinaldo Neiva when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Milhans's Murilo Miranda slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reinaldo Neiva. That made the score 3-0 after 29 minutes of play. Geovanni Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Passos hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Serra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Olívio Travassos came free, but Reinaldo Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes Serra FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Filipe Branco who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Milhans's corner Filipe Branco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Reinaldo Neiva quite easily take care of the ball. After 40 minutes of play Serra FC's Zé Passos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Zé Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Reinaldo Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Miranda in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute Olívio Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reinaldo Neiva made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Geovanni Rossi sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tales Coutinho made a kick off. In the 55th minute Olívio Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reinaldo Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Rossi in the 56th minute of the match. Armando de Godoy hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Reinaldo Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olívio Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Reinaldo Neiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olívio Travassos went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The shot was a little too simple and Denílson Furtado could save by the left post. 67 minutes into the match, Serra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Olívio Travassos came free, but Reinaldo Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murilo Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murilo Miranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th minute, Murilo Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reinaldo Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olívio Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 77 minutes of play, Serra FC's Tales Coutinho made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Denílson Furtado was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 85th minute Delfim Linhares suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 85 minutes into the game, Caco Bastos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milhans's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Serra FC the free kick. Serra FC made a substitution. Elias Monteiro replaced Delfim Linhares. Caco Bastos hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Reinaldo Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olívio Travassos in the 89th minute of play. Geovanni Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Reinaldo Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Serra FC got a freekick which was hit by Jimeno Unai. In the 92nd minute of the match Filipe Branco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reinaldo Neiva skillfully saved the ball. Milhans walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
