A beautiful save bye Corinthians Jrs's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodriguinho Tepedino during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomás Arantes hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. André Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute, Frédson Pernambucano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Acácio Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Antunes in the 21st minute of the match. Acácio Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. With his leg Acácio Carioca managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Corinthians Jrs's Nelson Rezende fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nildo Pombal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frédson Pernambucano's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. André Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Acácio Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wanderson Arantes in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nildo Pombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patrício Prata charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrício Prata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 played minutes Alasca EC got a freekick which was hit by Patrício Prata. In the 42nd match minute, Alasca EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wanderson Arantes to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alasca EC's goalkeeper Acácio Carioca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Antunes to make the kick off. Acácio Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If André Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nildo Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frédson Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 played minutes Corinthians Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Percival Prata. Tomás Arantes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nildo Pombal. Corinthians Jrs's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Corinthians Jrs's Nildo Pombal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Corinthians Jrs from getting a goal against them. Alasca EC's Acácio Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percival Prata in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 70 minutes, André Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians Jrs's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Alasca EC! The referee gave Corinthians Jrs a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gildo Pernambucano, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Alasca EC's Acácio Carioca. 1-1. Wanderson Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrício Prata hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Rodriguinho Tepedino got his second yellow card in the match during the 88th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 89th minute, Rodriguinho Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Alasca EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Corinthians Jrs:s goal. Gildo Pernambucano took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Acácio Carioca. Acácio Carioca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Wilson Capixaba made in the 98th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Alasca EC's Frédson Pernambucano. After a defensive mix-up in Corinthians Jrs's zone, Frédson Pernambucano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nildo Pombal came out of the goal and Frédson Pernambucano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corinthians Jrs's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
