Jefferson Zanette hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Emílio Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uarati's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Cido Peixoto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quieto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uarati the free kick. After 56 played minutes Quieto got a freekick which was hit by Cido Peixoto. Emílio Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aloísio Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Mota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juvenal Lima's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Uarati's Diego Mota proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Uarati from getting a goal against them. Juvenal Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diego Mota having to make a save. Diego Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juvenal Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. If Emílio Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Aloísio Magalhães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldinho Cardoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Aloísio Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ronaldinho Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uarati. With a little luck, Uarati's Diego Mota got control of the ball when Manoel Nunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Quieto's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
