But to his dismay, Mykyta Matyash quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. In the 39th minute, Deivid Alcântara made a precise shot to the right of Edinho Souza. Flamengo 39-XX's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Edinho Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gareth Thomson in the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half Paysandu Sport Club were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Edinho Souza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adham Al Khobaize showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-11 in the 75 minute of play. Oscar Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Adham Al Khobaize received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Edinho Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Mykyta Matyash notched a goal, 0-12, to the right of Flamengo 39-XX's Edinho Souza. Edinho Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Flamengo 39-XX's Edinho Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo 39-XX from getting a goal against them.
