Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Edinho Souza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ayrton Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo 39-XX's supporters rose to their feet, but Ayrton Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the match, Flamengo 39-XX's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Couto came free, but Edinho Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ayrton Ribeiro made a kick off. If Tadeu Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Gilson Pereira in the 61st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Flamengo 39-XX's Nicolas de Brito. Flamengo 39-XX's Edinho Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Teixeira in the 64th minute of play. In the 69th minute Luís Eduardo Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ayrton Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Charles Pontes made a huge save. Beto Netto's late challenge caught a Flamengo 39-XX's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beto Netto helped the player get up and apologised. Charles Pontes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ulisses Cosme. Ayrton Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Charles Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo 39-XX. Edinho Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Eduardo Teixeira in the 84th minute of the match. Edinho Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Fabinho Freire took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edinho Souza. Edinho Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Carmelopolis AD walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
