In the 28th minute, Pedro Augusto Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charro Lopez de Toro in the 33rd minute of play forced Falcon's goalkeeper Paulo José Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Charro Lopez de Toro notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Falcon's Paulo José Catarinense. Paulo José Catarinense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mykyta Matyash to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Paysandu Sport Club's Adham Al Khobaize sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo José Catarinense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mykyta Matyash sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Paysandu Sport Club's Mykyta Matyash slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo José Catarinense. That made the score 0-5 after 64 minutes of play. If Charro Lopez de Toro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mykyta Matyash in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo José Catarinense saved Falcon from getting behind. In the 74th minute, Dráuzio Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th match minute, Paysandu Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. Mykyta Matyash sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Adham Al Khobaize had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Paysandu Sport Club's Chico Meireles got a free kick in the 86th minute. Paysandu Sport Club's Deivid Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Paysandu Sport Club getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Gareth Thomson hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Pedro Augusto Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tales Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Falcon fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Paysandu Sport Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
