The supporters of Zatoni booed when Reriutaba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafim Mello shot a long shot in the 26th minute and a light blocked Severino Rocha hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-2. Severino Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidnei Freire in the 33rd minute of the match. When Zatoni's Romeu Amaral in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Reriutaba SS's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Zatoni's zone, Clemente Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian da Costa came out of the goal and Clemente Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Clemente Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sidnei Freire was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Remo Tasso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ian da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Severino Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidnei Freire in the 56th minute of play. Zatoni's Romeu Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 59 minutes of play, Zatoni's Sidnei Freire made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Rocha was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62ndth minute of the game Clemente Paulista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zatoni's Ian da Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Severino Rocha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sidnei Freire showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 67 minute of play. A collision led to Zatoni getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Fernandinho Campidelis hit a great ball. Remo Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute Remo Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Rocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romeu Amaral in the 77th minute. In the 79th match minute, Zatoni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Linares to maneuver through the defense. Eliézer de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian da Costa having to interfere. Zatoni's Romeu Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidnei Freire in the 95th minute of the match. Zatoni's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
