The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel de Medeiros got free with Walmyr Varela in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Walmyr Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel de Medeiros went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Emanuel de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Walmyr Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gino Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walmyr Varela didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 16th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. 20 minutes into the game, Manaquery's Emanuel de Medeiros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Walmyr Varela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 27th minute, Temiminós S.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gino Souza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With an all-out effort, Manaquery's Walmyr Varela threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gino Souza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Emanuel de Medeiros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walmyr Varela having to make a save. Gino Souza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walmyr Varela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Délio Rosado to strike the kick off in the second half. Gino Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Walmyr Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Germano França scored 5-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fred Bastos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Gino Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manaquery's supporters rose to their feet, but Gino Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmyr Varela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emanuel de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Walmyr Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Maurício Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manaquery's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurício Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Temiminós S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gino Souza came free, but Walmyr Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Manaquery's Emanuel de Medeiros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Walmyr Varela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Emanuel de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Emanuel de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
