Gilson Machado made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Paulo Linhares in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Toscano in the 14th minute of play forced PSOL Futebol e Política's goalkeeper Gilson Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of PSOL Futebol e Política booed when Fluminense Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Wellington Cosme made the kick off in the second half. Juvenal Urbano tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Gilson Machado. The tension between the PSOL Futebol e Política and the Fluminense Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Paulo Linhares in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilson Machado saved PSOL Futebol e Política from getting behind.
