Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Haroldo Sampaio kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Duarte Xavier got free with Pedro Paulo Zonta in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erik Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Ramos having to interfere. Erik Vieira hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erik Vieira in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Álvaro Ramos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mazinho Eger took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Álvaro Ramos. Álvaro Ramos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, Hemps F.C's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Zonta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Sergipano. When Hemps F.C's Erik Vieira in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nictheroy's goalie prevented a goal. 27 minutes in the game, Erik Vieira dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Alan Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 played minutes Hemps F.C got a freekick which was hit by Cléber Bezerra. Fiori Marquez hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Mazinho Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Nictheroy's zone, Ademar França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro Ramos came out of the goal and Ademar França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lino Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Nictheroy's Rafinha Lago got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute, Lino Peres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mazinho Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Ramos having to interfere. Erik Vieira might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Álvaro Ramos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erik Vieira ran back to his position shaking his head. After 74 played minutes Nictheroy got a freekick which was hit by Cacá de Godoi. The supporters of Hemps F.C booed when Nictheroy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Álvaro Ramos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lino Peres's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. A collision led to Nictheroy getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Cacá de Godoi hit a great ball. Erik Vieira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. Hemps F.C's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 84 played minutes Nictheroy got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Xavier. Fiori Marquez hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Hemps F.C's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
