After a rather tough play, Nipoa AD's Valdo Godoi got a free kick in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivo Maia in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Vianna saved Alferez SC from getting behind. Murilo Novaes hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Belchior Teixeira in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diguinho Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 0-2 became the score in the 23rd minute when Ivo Maia elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Alferez SC's zone, Frederico Couto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Vianna came out of the goal and Frederico Couto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Arí Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diguinho Amaral didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 31st minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Arí Lagos short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Diguinho Amaral to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ivo Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Angelo Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Nipoa AD's Frederico Couto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelo Vianna narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Belchior Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diguinho Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belchior Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frederico Couto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Angelo Vianna skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nipoa AD's Frederico Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Nipoa AD's Frederico Couto, in the 64th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Nipoa AD. If Ivo Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Ivo Maia put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Angelo Vianna. When Frederico Couto came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Nipoa AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederico Couto couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Alferez SC's Eduardo Garcia got a free kick in the 77th minute. If Frederico Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Vianna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Maia in the 84th minute of play. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 3-4 when Arí Lago sped through Nipoa AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Diguinho Amaral. Wiliam Rodrigues hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Ivo Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Vianna having to interfere. When the match was over Nipoa AD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alferez SC throughout the match.
