Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jorginho Cerezo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Kaká de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Cruz having to interfere. Yuri de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Tupaciguara's zone, Kaká de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor Cruz came out of the goal and Kaká de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yuri de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kaká de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelinho Costa scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Doriva Antunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. LA Galaxy's Kaká de Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Perivaldo Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Marcelinho Costa came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Doriva Antunes could save by the left post. Marcelinho Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Yuri de Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the LA Galaxy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuri de Amorim couldn't finish the play. Doriva Antunes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Claudinho Peixoto. The supporters of Tupaciguara booed when LA Galaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, LA Galaxy's goal looked a bit too open when Jorginho Cerezo came free, but Doriva Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yuri de Amorim to strike the kick off in the second half. Yuri de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Cruz having to interfere. Doriva Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelinho Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Doriva Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Cerezo in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st match minute, Tupaciguara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perivaldo Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. Yuri de Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Vítor Cruz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 66th minute Jorginho Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Jorge Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júnior Cearense during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of LA Galaxy booed when Tupaciguara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perivaldo Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doriva Antunes having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, LA Galaxy's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelinho Costa came free, but Doriva Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelinho Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jorginho Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 82 minutes into the game, Tupaciguara's Perivaldo Paraíba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Doriva Antunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. José Vítor Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuri de Amorim in the 90th minute. Doriva Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelinho Costa in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doriva Antunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tupaciguara were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of LA Galaxy for a fine match.
