Tiaguinho Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Augusto Barreto in the 3rd minute of play. Rooster's Nuno Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rooster's Durval Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico da Fonseca in the 36th minute of play. Durval Rossi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedito Maranhense went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Régis Leite in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tiaguinho Magalhães, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Rooster's Régis Leite in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruana's goalie prevented a goal. Durval Rossi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tiaguinho Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Régis Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Régis Leite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiaguinho Magalhães was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. After having played for 74 minutes, Nico da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico da Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Durval Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Maranhense in the 76th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Régis Leite in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiaguinho Magalhães saved Uruana from getting behind. If Benedito Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
