But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráusio Romero couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseu Santos was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 52 in the game by Belmiro Mendonça from a close distance when the talented Dino Figueiredo managed to make a qualified save. Firmamento EC's players were relieved. Dino Figueiredo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliseu Santos's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Prata SC's zone, Claudinho Ceresso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Américo Costa came out of the goal and Claudinho Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dino Figueiredo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aloísio Abraão. Renatinho Perez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Dino Figueiredo made a huge save. The supporters of Prata SC booed when Firmamento EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugênio de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eliseu Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Prata SC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Belmiro Mendonça hit a great ball. Dráusio Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Costa having to interfere. Dino Figueiredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Renatinho Perez in the 75th minute. Renatinho Perez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dino Figueiredo having to make a save. Eliseu Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 played minutes Firmamento EC got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Vianna. With a little luck, Firmamento EC's Dino Figueiredo got control of the ball when Renatinho Perez tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Eliseu Santos put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Dino Figueiredo. Renatinho Perez might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dino Figueiredo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renatinho Perez ran back to his position shaking his head. The Firmamento EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Prata SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
