Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alan Abraão kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilson Viana got free with Isaltino Baptista in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute Chico Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toninho Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Barcelona booed when Beneficiente SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chico Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alessandro Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto Torres having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alan Abraão in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Augusto Torres saved Beneficiente SS from getting behind. Isaltino Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Chaves in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Barcelona's goalkeeper Isaltino Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilson Viana. Isaltino Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 63rd minute of the match Jefferson Palmeira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isaltino Baptista skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Chico Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beneficiente SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Chico Braga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
