The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristóvão Magalhães during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes S.C.Foz do Iguaçu got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Magalhães. Dieguinho Eger made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Jeferson Barbosa sent off a good shot on target. S.C.Foz do Iguaçu's Jeferson Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, S.C.Foz do Iguaçu's Tadeu Mineiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dieguinho Eger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Andorinha AD's Dieguinho Eger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Andorinha AD from getting a goal against them. Dieguinho Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes of play S.C.Foz do Iguaçu's Cristóvão Magalhães was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to S.C.Foz do Iguaçu getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Cristóvão Magalhães hit a great ball. If Eduardo Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Téo Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Almqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christer Almqvist came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Andorinha AD's Téo Vergílio. But to his dismay, Téo Vergílio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. S.C.Foz do Iguaçu's Christer Almqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Vergílio in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

With a little luck, S.C.Foz do Iguaçu's Christer Almqvist got control of the ball when Téo Vergílio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Andorinha AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Veiga to maneuver through the defense. When S.C.Foz do Iguaçu's Jeferson Barbosa in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Andorinha AD's goalie prevented a goal. Andorinha AD's attentive Paulo Tasso managed to snatch the ball when Sebastião Sarmento made a throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 69th play minute Téo Vergílio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Christer Almqvist. 1-2. Doni Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeferson Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jefferson Proença hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Paulo Tasso hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Jeferson Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Dieguinho Eger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C.Foz do Iguaçu. Jeferson Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Dieguinho Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
