Luís Fabiano Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Reinaldo Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pinschers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinaldo Cearense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fabiano Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aílton Zonta got in the 17th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Cláudio Mendonça handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 22 played minutes Pinschers FC got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Cearense. Reinaldo Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Souza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luís Fabiano Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráusio Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Fabiano Souza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dráusio Mazza's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Dráusio Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pinschers FC's zone, Aílton Zonta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cláudio Mendonça came out of the goal and Aílton Zonta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cafu Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aílton Zonta to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Albuquerque. Oswaldo Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oswaldo Paiva during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, one of Pinschers FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pinschers FC. The referee gave Liverpool FC a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Renatinho Perez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pinschers FC's Cláudio Mendonça. 1-2. Nestor Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute of the match Oswaldo Paiva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Fabiano Souza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luís Fabiano Souza made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Dráusio Mazza sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute, Dráusio Mazza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Fabiano Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. If Dráusio Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernandão Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernandão Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Liverpool FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Nestor Albuquerque hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the game, Cafu Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liverpool FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinschers FC the free kick. Cafu Borges hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Cláudio Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton Zonta in the 91st minute of the match. Dráusio Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fabiano Souza having to interfere. The Liverpool FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Pinschers FC to win.
