Umorama FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E. C. Chutetso the free kick. Rômulo Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 played minutes Umorama FC got a freekick which was hit by Flávio Quirino. Dráuzio Loureiro was shown his second yellow card after 22 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Umorama FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Dráuzio Loureiro hit a great ball. E. C. Chutetso's Francisco Prata couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Umorama FC. In the 28th minute, Olavo Prata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiago Gabriel Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel da Costa having to interfere. If Tiago Gabriel Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Olavo Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Umorama FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Olavo Prata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardinho Secco hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match.
