Orlando Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elder Mangueira's late challenge caught a Neropolis SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elder Mangueira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, Calabar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elder Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. Vânderson Albuquerque struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Orlando Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neropolis SC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vânderson Albuquerque in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlando Castro saved Calabar from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Neropolis SC's Cleiton Pernambucano got a free kick in the 13th minute. Francisco Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Orlando Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neropolis SC's Pedro Luís Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Moraes in the 22nd minute of play. When Neropolis SC's Vânderson Albuquerque in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Calabar's goalie prevented a goal. Orlando Castro stood somewhat misplaced when Vânderson Albuquerque came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 27 minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vânderson Albuquerque in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlando Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute, Neropolis SC's Vânderson Albuquerque dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 43rd minute, Cássio Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vânderson Albuquerque's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Francisco Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Castro having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vânderson Albuquerque made a kick off. Calabar's Elder Mangueira got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Elder Mangueira off the ground. In the 61st match minute, Calabar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elder Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. After 62 minutes, Cleiton Pernambucano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Neropolis SC and the Calabar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes Neropolis SC got a freekick which was hit by Cleiton Pernambucano. 64 minutes into the match, Vânderson Albuquerque notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Calabar's Orlando Castro. Orlando Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 70 minutes of play, Neropolis SC's Vânderson Albuquerque made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Orlando Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Calabar's Orlando Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Albuquerque in the 73rd minute of play. Gualter Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Sidnei Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calabar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidnei Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
