Juan de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Donato in the 6th minute of the match. Juan de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Carlinhos de Amorim hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Gilberto Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléberson de Azevedo in the 16th minute of play. Interlaken MZ's Gilberto Corrêa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Interlaken MZ from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Tamarineiro booed when Interlaken MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Stål didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Sidney de Queiroz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Interlaken MZ's Gilberto Corrêa. Gilberto Corrêa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute Waldemar Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wanderson Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Juan de Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilmar Reis's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Gilberto Corrêa came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Tamarineiro's Sílvio Guimarães. But to his dismay, Sílvio Guimarães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sidney de Queiroz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tamarineiro's goalkeeper Juan de Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Interlaken MZ booed when Tamarineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlinhos de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Gilmar Reis lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Juan de Medeiros. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Interlaken MZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tamarineiro:s goal. Gilberto Corrêa went to the wrong direction when Carlinhos de Amorim was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Stål in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan de Medeiros saved Tamarineiro from getting behind. Carlinhos de Amorim charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlinhos de Amorim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlinhos de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Gilmar Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 played minutes Tamarineiro got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Lopez. 82 minutes into the match, Interlaken MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson de Azevedo came free, but Gilberto Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tamarineiro's goalkeeper Juan de Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilmar Reis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Juan de Medeiros made a huge save. Waldemar Donato struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Juan de Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Interlaken MZ.
