Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alexandre Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Carvalho having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, AMAVIL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléberson de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the game, Luís Eduardo Sarmento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Sidney Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leonel Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidney Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gencal Ustam, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Benê de Almeida hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Alexandre Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Escudo Futebol Clube's Luís Eduardo Sarmento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sidney Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luís Eduardo Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Carvalho having to interfere.

In the 50th minute, Benê de Almeida had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 50 minutes into the game, Vito de Godoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AMAVIL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escudo Futebol Clube the free kick. Vito de Godoi hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Luís Eduardo Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Sidney Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, AMAVIL's goalkeeper Sidney Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonel Secco. Sidney Carvalho was a little too slow when Alexandre Furtado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-3. Vito de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, Vito de Godoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AMAVIL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in AMAVIL's zone, Leonel Secco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidney Carvalho came out of the goal and Leonel Secco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st play minute Leonel Secco came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sidney Carvalho. 1-4. Luís Eduardo Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Carvalho having to interfere. The AMAVIL fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Escudo Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
