Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nelsinho Pombal made the kick off which started today's match. Calisto EC's Válter Fernandes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Calisto EC from getting a goal against them. Nelsinho Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute of the match Riozinho got a corner. Calisto EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rômulo Maia ran over to the corner to take the kick. Riozinho's Rômulo Maia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Válter Fernandes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Ademir de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Nelsinho Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Válter Fernandes was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Riozinho's Lauro Lira got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, one of Calisto EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Calisto EC. Percy Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emerson Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademir de Almeida in the 31st minute of the match. Nelsinho Pombal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Válter Fernandes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Sandro Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The attack was good, but when Nelsinho Pombal in the 37th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 40 minutes, Sandro Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calisto EC and the Riozinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Calisto EC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Sandro Magalhães hit a great ball. A hard and well directed shot from Rômulo Maia led 41 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Calisto EC's Válter Fernandes became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-0. Zé Pedro Damião's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 48thth minute, Válter Fernandes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
Luís Gustavo Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Riozinho's Nelsinho Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Riozinho's Emerson Ribeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Riozinho from getting a goal against them. Percy Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Emerson Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Percy Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Calisto EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 75 minutes of play, Riozinho's Nelsinho Pombal made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Válter Fernandes was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Nelsinho Pombal put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Válter Fernandes. Percy Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Ribeiro having to interfere. After 87 minutes of play, Riozinho's Nelsinho Pombal made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Válter Fernandes was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Nelsinho Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Válter Fernandes was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Ademir de Almeida's late challenge caught a Riozinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademir de Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. Riozinho's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
